In 1941, Alfred Hitchcock directed a comedy called 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'. The story bears no resemblance to the recent 'Brangelina' flick titled 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'. In Hitchcock's flick, Robert Montgomery and Carole Lombard played Mr. David Smith & Mrs. Ann Smith. While in the 2005 blockbuster, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie play Mr. John Smith & Mrs. Jane Smith. Angelina accepted the role that Nicole Kidman refused.
