    Summer bonanza Part 1

X was an ancient indian sanskrit grammarian from Pushkalavati, Gandhara (around 4th century BC). X's comprehensive and scientific theory of grammar is conventionally taken to mark the end period of Vedic Sanskrit, hence introducing classical Sanskrit.

    Identify X.

    Ans: PANINI

Apart from formulating the laws of modern Sanskrit, many of his concepts hold true for most other languages as well.
    For example:
    " less-syllabled words precede more-syllabled ones"
holds true for 'stri-purusha' just as well as for 'lock, stock and barrel'

Congrats Dolphin, Tania, Santosh.Bhople, vish, Sridhaye, Bijeet and Blogbyp for getting it right.
